More watercolour practice - Cornish Copse

Cornish Copse 1, 2 and 3 (all A6)

Cornish Copse 4 (7 x 9.5 inches)

Four little watercolour sketches from our recent stay in Cornwall. While they were done from life, I was cosily ensconced indoors.

Bear in a Hat

This is an Inktense pencil drawing in which I started with pure linework and added water to spread the colours. I went back with a second layer after the first was dry.

When I looked around for a subject, I found Pecan, the bear (Maple was in hiding), who had recently been given a hat that both children have grown out of. The T-shirt was theirs, too, but longer ago.
